The China Post–Opposition lawmakers yesterday accused an Investigation Bureau chief of allegedly leaking classified information to his brother, who fled to China in 2006 to avoid a possible jail term after being indicted on embezzlement charges.
According to Legislators Tuan Yi-kang (段宜康) and Chiu Chih-wei (邱志偉) of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Investigation Bureau Director-General Chang Chi-ping’s (張繼平) younger brother Chang Kao-ping (張高平) was indicted by Taipei prosecutors six years ago on charges of embezzling public funds.
