Taipei, Aug. 31 (CNA) Taiwan took five gold medals, five silvers and one bronze in the third World University Woodball Championship that concluded Monday in Kampala, Uganda, the Chinese Taipei Woodball Association said Tuesday.

The four-day competition, organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) on the shores of Lake Victoria Aug. 24-30, hosted a total of 55 athletes from 11 countries — Estonia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia and Uganda.
