Taipei, Aug. 14 (CNA) A Taiwanese photography exhibition opened in Buenos Aires earlier this week, attracting museumgoers in the south America country to experience Taiwan’s culture and arts.
“Expo Taiwan Sublime” runs through Sept. 12 at the city’s Children’s Museum and features 40 works from Taiwanese photographers Chen Chih-hsiung, Liu Chen-hsiang, Huang Ting- sheng and Chi Po-lin.
Also displayed are 10 Chinese ink paintings by Lin Fang-mei, as well as ceramics provided by Taipei County’s Yingge Ceramics Museum and aboriginal crafts.
Mariana Elsztain, president of the museum, said at the exhibition opening that the event will help Argentines understand more about Taiwanese culture. She also expressed hope that her museum can hold more such activities with Taiwan in the future. more …
